Mega Muncher

Mastodons were voracious veggie eaters. Weighing up to six tons, a mastodon would have to eat 200 to 400 pounds of veggies per day to maintain their weight.

While we cannot eat as much as a mastodon, eating our daily requirement of vegetables is important for children and adults. Serving sizes differ depending on age, but in general it's recommended children eat anywhere between 1 and 3 cups of vegetables per day, adults between 2 to 3 cups a day.
