Jessica Adams, PsyD
Behavioral & Mental Health (IPD), Counseling
My approach to psychotherapy uses an integrative approach by applying techniques from several evidence-based therapeutic styles, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and positive psychology to best tailor treatment to each individual client. I attempt to maintain a relational style throughout the therapeutic process and value the use of humor and compassion to strengthen the therapeutic relationship. I prioritize creating and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship, as well as a safe and inviting environment to help each client reach their maximum potential through facilitating self-exploration, striving toward personal growth, and developing practical strategies to create change.

My clinical interests include working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing difficulties in life due to symptoms of anxiety, depression, adjustment and change, and other life stressors. Together, we will work towards improving quality of life through self-exploration, developing healthy and effective coping strategies, and building upon strengths and values.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, thrift shopping, re-watching Friends and New Girl, and reading cheesy mystery novels
