My name is Erin Richardson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has dedicated my career to helping adults feel understood, supported, and empowered. I offer a place where you can take a breath, reflect, and talk with someone who is fully present and engaged. I believe therapy should feel personal and meaningful—a setting where you can share your unique story at a pace that feels right for you.
In our work together, my intention is to walk beside you rather than direct your path, helping you uncover coping skills and strengths that already exist within yourself and within your support systems. My goal is to create conversations that feel supportive and grounding, where you can explore life, relationships, or anything you’ve been navigating with a thoughtful, unbiased perspective that encourages clarity and growth. I have nearly 15 years of experience working with adults of all ages and backgrounds.
My training in medical social work, mental health, and gerontology has given me a deep understanding of the emotional challenges that can arise throughout adulthood—whether related to stress, identity changes, chronic health concerns, caregiving responsibilities, grief, anxiety, or major life transitions. While I am especially passionate about supporting aging adults and their families, I value working with individuals across the entire adult lifespan and tailor my approach to meet each person’s needs.
My therapeutic style blends evidence-based techniques with a practical, down-to-earth approach. I value honesty, humor, and genuine connection, and I work collaboratively with you to build insights and strategies that feel realistic and empowering. I recognize that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I focus on helping you better understand your emotional patterns, strengthen your resilience, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that can become overshadowed during stressful seasons of life.
I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Loyola University Chicago and completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through Boston University. Above all, I am committed to offering a steady, compassionate presence—helping you feel grounded, supported, and confident in your capacity for meaningful growth.

I have a diverse range of clinical interests that include, but are not limited to: supporting clients through life transitions, communication challenges, and complex family dynamics. Supporting individuals facing depression, anxiety, bipolar and other mood disorders, as well as stress, anger, self-esteem issues, and changes related to aging.
My interests further include helping people navigate caregiving responsibilities, relationship stressors, and the emotional impact of medical or health-related changes.
Outside of my clinical work, I love traveling the world, learning about different cultures, and trying new foods and recipes along the way. I also enjoy spending time in nature—especially at my family home in Door County, WI—where I can relax and recharge. When I’m not traveling, I’m often with family and friends, at a concert/listening to music, watching a movie, relaxing with my dogs, or working on a craft or creative project.
