As a physician, I have the great honor of sharing in some of the most sacred parts of peoples’ lives. I strive to make sure that my patients feel heard and safe. My goal is ensure that my patients know that they are welcome and are not judged. I aim to include them in their medical decision making and I believe in arming each patient with education so that they are empowered to make healthy decisions.
I also love laughing with my patients. I love to hear funny stories about their kids, something unexpected that happened at work or just a plain old good joke. I work hard to get to know my patients so that we can work together toward problem-solving and goal-setting to achieve the best overall health possible. Sir William Osler said, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.”
