My interests are in coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, pulmonary vascular disease and pulmonary hypertension, and heart failure. We have become more aware of a condition called cardiac amyloidosis which I also have a special interest in diagnosing and treating. As an interventional cardiologist, I am able to do procedures to open up the arteries of the heart and other blood vessels of the body, including the legs. I can also do procedures to remove clots from the arteries of the lung and use medications to manage higher pressures in the lungs. Sometimes we need to do procedures in emergency situations to help support the heart in many ways, which I am also able to do.

Most of my time outside of medicine is spent with my family and friends. I love to travel around the country and outside of it, when I have the time. I run for exercise and to stay in shape. Finding a new favorite restaurant brings me joy. I love to see the next blockbuster or smaller indie movie, but the only requirement is that they are critically acclaimed. I am a huge Chicago sports fan and love to attend their games, but the Bears have a special place in my heart.
