Being a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) I grew up in two communities-the hearing community and the Deaf community. As I grew older, I learned more about the gap between the field of audiology and the Deaf community. I became an audiologist to bridge that gap. 

I believe in patient-centered care, I believe each patient’s journey is unique to them. I will shape my care to meet the patient’s goals; whether that is verbal or manual communication. It is important to listen to patients and understand their needs, rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
