I practice medicine based on patient centered and collaborative care. Being able to understand each patient's story, values and goals so the treatment plan/decisions reflect what matters to them and their care is important. Being able to treat not just the diagnosis but the patient is key. Collaboration with the team is vital because we work with a lot of people in the hospital. My style is defined by a compassionate approach; partnering with the patient, family and all providers so the patient can get the best care is what it is all about.
