About Migdalia Sotir, MD

Philosophy of Care

My goal is to work collaboratively with you to help uncover the tools and strategies that will support meaningful change and enhance your quality of life. I provide individualized, comprehensive care that integrates biological, psychotherapeutic, and psychosocial approaches. I see each patient as a whole person—unique, valued, and deserving of care thoughtfully tailored to their individual needs. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and have lived most of my life in the United States. Being part of different cultural communities has given me a deep appreciation for how identity, language, and culture shape our experiences and influence mental health. I bring both sensitivity and genuine curiosity to understanding each patient’s cultural background and how it informs their treatment, ensuring that care is respectful, collaborative, and personalized.
