I begin every patient encounter by introducing myself and getting to know the patient and to get their own sense of why they are in the hospital. Being hospitalized is a stressful experience and I strive to provide reassurance and carefully explain the diagnosis, treatment plan, all test and imaging results as well as the plan for discharge and follow-up for every patient tailored to their unique and individual needs.
