Hello, I’m so glad to meet you. My name is Dr. Pownall, and I want you to know that I genuinely care about your health and well-being. I’m deeply passionate about patient care, and one of the most rewarding parts of what I do is being able to see the progress my patients make in their health journey over time. I don’t just focus on symptoms — I take the time to understand your health as a whole, because every part of your well-being matters. I’m here to support and guide you, to listen without judgment, and to work with you toward meaningful, lasting health improvements. I also want to warmly welcome you, no matter your background. I value and respect every patient’s unique story and cultural experience, and I believe that inclusive care leads to stronger, more trusted partnerships. Together, we’ll take steps toward better health — and I’m honored to walk that path with you.

Quality matters when it comes to supplements. Whether you’re new or experienced with supplements, trusted, quality options can support your immunity, heart health, and nutrient intake. Duly has partnered with Fullscript, offering access to high-quality supplements delivered directly to your door. Ask your provider about Fullscript and our exclusive discounts at your next visit.

Clinical Interests
I have a strong interest in helping patients manage a few key areas of their health, with a focus on education, prevention, and personalized care: Diabetes: I work closely with patients to prevent, detect, and manage diabetes. My approach includes guidance on healthy eating, staying active, using medications when needed, and helping you understand how to monitor your blood sugar and avoid complications. High Blood Pressure (Hypertension): I help patients take control of their blood pressure through lifestyle changes, medications, and regular follow-up care. The goal is to reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other serious problems. Women’s Health: I provide care for women at all stages of life, including routine screenings (like Pap smears and breast exams), support for menstrual or menopause-related concerns, and overall wellness and mental health support. Contraception and Family Planning: I offer clear, supportive guidance on birth control options to help you choose what’s best for your body and life plans. I also address questions and concerns you may have to ensure you feel confident and informed in your decisions.
Personal Interests
Outside of medicine, I enjoy exploring art, trying new restaurants, traveling, and staying active through workouts. I also really value spending time with others — whether that’s at social gatherings or getting involved in the community.
