My goal in treating people is to collaborate with them as a means to maintain the best quality of life for as long as possible. This is achieved through an active investment by the patient in a healthy lifestyle and regular surveillance of any conditions by me. I have an aggressive approach to treatment of chronic conditions such as asthma and diabetes, but at the same time, always try to reduce our reliance on medications by developing better habits.

September is prostate cancer awareness month. Since prostate cancer is the second most common form of cancer in men, starting at age 45 for those at an increased risk and age 50 for those at an average risk, screening options are available to help catch cancer at an early stage. Take charge of your health and schedule with your primary care provider to discuss family history and risk factors to determine if screening is right for you.
