I believe prac­tic­ing med­i­cine should be like a part­ner­ship between the patient (and their care part­ners) and the provider. On our first vis­it, I pre­fer to lis­ten to your sto­ry to get the full con­text of what your con­cerns are and how they affect you. Once I under­stand the whole pic­ture, we can build a care plan that works for you. The best treat­ment plan is the one that the patient and their care part­ners are ful­ly invest­ed in and will be able to fol­low. I like to get to know my patients well, and I aim to pro­vide care that is indi­vid­u­al­ized to what you need in the way that works best for your per­son­al lifestyle and goals.
