About Edward A. Pont, MD

Philosophy of Care

I have been a community pediatrician for over 20 years at the same practice suburban Chicago. I try very hard to be responsive to my patients, answering every question by the end of the day. My general philosophy is that the body generally knows best what to do, and the physician's role is to recognize when it is not working properly and stay out of the way when it is.

I waited 0 minutes to be seen! Dr. Pont was so happy, kind, knowledgeable and precise as usual. The office is so clean and nice. The nursing assistant was very thorough and kind. The nurse who gave the baby his shots was very upbeat and happy! She made the hard task of giving shots actually fine! My baby on cried for less than 30 seconds! I drive from Lockport to this Elmhurst office because it's the best!

Sick visit. No one took his temperature. I'm was concerned about his breathing and Dr Pont kept showing me how moist his mouth was. I wasn't concerned about dehydration. Dr Pont was very rude and condescending. Said all moms think they have a MD once they have kids. I'm a pediatric nurse with asthma and have a son with asthma. I have some knowledge regarding the matter. He dismissed my concerns and keep gagging my child with the tongue blade to show me his moist tongue.

Dr. Pont is a thoughtful, warm, and caring doctor. He always answers any questions I have with ease and care. I always feel confident and empowered making decisions pertaining to my child's health after consulting with him in our visits.
