I have devoted my career to helping others navigate difficult life issues through psychotherapy and counseling. I have worked with a variety of populations, with an emphasis on trauma, substance use, mood disorders and family therapy. Today, I seek to work with patients of all backgrounds to help improve their quality of life and relationships. I am passionate about educating and providing therapy to patients and their families. I focus on building self-esteem by reducing the shame and guilt associated with substance use and other mental health disorders and helping patients and their families rebuild their relationships in a healthy, constructive way. I integrate one or more models of research-based therapies in collaboration with the client’s needs and comfort level. These therapies include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, Family Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
