“The care of children is the greatest privilege” is a phrase that I heard on my first day of pediatrics in medical school and it continues to be a guiding force for me today. From sleepless nights to the development of young adults and everything in between, I enjoy working with children and their parents. As the mother of two children, the oldest sister of four siblings and an auntie to 14, I am surrounded by children day and night. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Dr. Hovey is excellent with communicating with the kids all while also including the parent. She does not talk "down" to her patients and really shows how she understands the patients concerns, no matter how big or small it may be. She is practical with an emphasis on empathy, caring, & understanding.

Dr. Hovey is an exceptional listener, has a great bedside manner, and does a wonderful job explaining treatments and whatever is going on with my children at the time. Genuine, kind, and professional, she knows how to put my kids at ease.
Dr. Hovey fit both of my girls in the same day. We arrived early, and her staff brought us back right away. Professional and kind, she quickly diagnosed my daughter's ailment, suggested & explained treatment, and had us out the door ASAPand never once did we feel rushed. Her bedside manner is playful and her explanations are clear and easy to understand.
