Duly Health and Care's ACO Tops Quality Rankings - Produces Nearly $13M In Medicare Savings

DOWN­ERS GROVE, IL — The Account­able Care Orga­ni­za­tion (ACO) for Duly Health and Care has earned a per­fect 100% — the high­est achiev­able score for qual­i­ty, while pro­duc­ing $12.6 mil­lion in sav­ings for the Medicare Shared Sav­ings Pro­gram (MSSP) dur­ing Per­for­mance Year 2020.

As the largest inde­pen­dent, mul­ti-spe­cial­ty physi­cian group in the Mid­west, Duly and their ACO were assigned over 54,000 Medicare patients in 2020. The orga­ni­za­tion is the fastest grow­ing Medicare Advan­tage com­pa­ny in Chicagoland.

“To achieve the high­est score pos­si­ble for clin­i­cal qual­i­ty and to get so much waste out of the sys­tem is out­stand­ing,” explained Paul Mer­rick, M.D., Co-Chair­man of the Duly Health and Care Board and Chief Physi­cian Exec­u­tive. ​“But to do it while mak­ing health­care more afford­able, help­ing our patents to flour­ish and bring­ing back joy to the prac­tice of med­i­cine is tru­ly extraordinary.”

The Medicare Shared Sav­ings Pro­gram holds ACOs account­able for qual­i­ty, expe­ri­ence, and cost of care when eval­u­at­ing an ACOs per­for­mance. A high per­form­ing ACO is reward­ed with the oppor­tu­ni­ty to earn shared savings.
