"Dr DeHaan is a talented, skillful, patient, and compassionate surgeon who I would trust again to do surgery on me, or on any of my family or friends. After 15 long years of wanting to postpone my gut surgery, it was Dr. DeHaan's patience, compassion, and personality that finally convinced me that he was the surgeon for me! Not only did he spend multiple appointments explaining surgical options to me, but he never once made me feel like my questions were not important or not valid enough to be answered. As a retired Nurse Anesthetist, I have seen, and worked with, SO many surgeons who do not have even half the skill, patience, and compassion that Dr. DeHaan has! I have been completely satisfied with my preop, surgical, postop, and recovery care under Dr. DeHaan! "This was my postoperative visit, after surgery on 1/25/2025.I saw Dr DeHaan before and surgery, couple times after, he was very thorough, spent alot of time with us. Postoperative visit, he was in the room over 30 minutes. We were early, taken to room right away. I am 78 and he is the most caring, thorough doctor I have ever met. He discussed my recovery going forward, explained thoroughly . He listens to all my concerns every time, he is so caring and explains everything. I am so lucky Dr Pillai and Dr Stathapolous asked him to so the surgery. He saved my life and I thank God every day that he operated on me. Best doctor ever, and I have had 4 other abdominal surgeries in the past."
