Cervical Cancer


Can­cer that occurs in the cervix caused by the DNA of cells mutat­ing. The mutat­ed cells come togeth­er to devel­op a mass. Reg­u­lar PAP screen­ings can help detect cer­vi­cal can­cer in its ear­li­er stages. Human Papil­lo­mavirus (HPV) is the main cause of this female can­cer. Surgery, radi­a­tion and/​or chemother­a­py can be used to treat cer­vi­cal cancer.
