BCBSIL Provider Termination Issues

Starting around May 21, 2025, some Duly Health and Care patients enrolled in BCBSIL plans began receiving letters that incorrectly stated their Duly provider is no longer in network. A second round of letters began arriving the week of June 23. These notices were sent due to a clerical error on BCBSIL’s part.

We want to assure you that Duly providers remain in network for all currently contracted BCBSIL plans, and this error has no impact on your billing or coverage. You can continue receiving care from your Duly providers as usual.

If you received one of these letters, you do not need to take any action at this time.

Please note that Illinois law requires insurers to provide at least 60 days’ notice to both patients and providers before ending coverage. If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to file a formal complaint with the Illinois Department of Insurance.

For more information on filing a complaint online, please visit the Illinois Department of Insurance website.
