Heart Palpitations


Heart pal­pi­ta­tions are feel­ings of hav­ing a fast-beat­ing, flut­ter­ing or pound­ing heart. They usu­al­ly only last a few sec­onds or min­utes. There are many dif­fer­ent caus­es of pal­pi­ta­tions with the most com­mon being stress, exer­cise, caf­feine and med­ica­tion. Expe­ri­enc­ing heart pal­pi­ta­tions is com­mon and is not usu­al­ly seri­ous or harm­ful to your body. In rare cas­es, they can be a symp­tom of a more seri­ous heart con­di­tion that might require treatment.
