DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — Duly Health and Care, one of the largest independent, multi-specialty physician group in Illinois, performed their 1,000th outpatient surgery utilizing the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system.
Located in Lombard, Ill., the Duly Surgery Center Lombard, is a freestanding ASC, providing patients access to outpatient surgical care without requiring a hospital stay. Leveraging technology to drive innovation, Dr. Greg Grant, performed this milestone surgery less than two years after Duly acquired the robotic surgical system in 2021.
The da Vinci Xi robot allows surgeons like Dr. Grant to perform minimally invasive, outpatient procedures with enhanced visibility and dexterity, allowing for precision movements and overall improved patient safety. Patients benefit from less tissue trauma, lower complication rates, and a faster recovery compared to traditional surgical approaches. Bringing this technology into the outpatient space allows Duly to continue to provide a higher quality service at a reduced cost compared to the case being done in a hospital setting.

Duly Surgery Center Lombard was also the first freestanding ASC in Illinois to perform minimally invasive, outpatient prostatectomies using the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system.
