Duly is First In Midwest To Offer Outpatient CardioGraphe CT at New Cardiac Evaluation Center

DOWN­ERS GROVE, IL – In a first for the entire mid­west­ern part of the coun­try, Duly Health and Care has opened a new out­pa­tient Car­diac Eval­u­a­tion Cen­ter, pro­vid­ing same-day eval­u­a­tions of patients with non-life-threat­en­ing symp­toms such as chest pain, pal­pi­ta­tions, short­ness of breath or rapid heart rate.

Locat­ed at 430 War­renville Road, in Lisle, the Cen­ter is home to the region’s only Car­dio­Graphe™, a sophis­ti­cat­ed car­dio­vas­cu­lar CT that cap­tures images of the whole heart by a sin­gle beat, in just .24 sec­onds. The scan pro­duces a direct visu­al­iza­tion of the coro­nary arter­ies and car­diac struc­tures, gen­er­at­ing a blue­print to guide car­diac spe­cial­ists in accu­rate diag­noses and appro­pri­ate inter­ven­tions. Unlike CT scan­ners used in hos­pi­tals to diag­nose a vari­ety of con­di­tions, Duly’s Car­dio­Graphe is ded­i­cat­ed exclu­sive­ly to use by car­di­ol­o­gists for patients in need of heart care.

Accord­ing to Evans Pap­pas, MD, a Board-cer­ti­fied car­di­ol­o­gist and Chair of Duly’s Depart­ment of Car­di­ol­o­gy, ​“About 85% of chest pain eval­u­a­tions occur in the hos­pi­tal emer­gency room, with dis­charge home that same day. The Car­diac Eval­u­a­tion Cen­ter is staffed by an expe­ri­enced team of Board-cer­ti­fied car­di­ol­o­gists and skilled heart care clin­i­cians who uti­lize exer­cise and nuclear stress test­ing, echocar­dio­grams, con­tin­u­ous car­diac teleme­try mon­i­tor­ing, and on-site blood work, in addi­tion to the Car­dio­Graphe CT, to devel­op diag­no­sis and treat­ment plans.
