DuPage Medical Group Appoints Senior Vice President, Finance

DOWN­ERS GROVE, Ill. — DuPage Med­ical Group (DMG), the largest inde­pen­dent, mul­ti-spe­cial­ty physi­cian group in the Chica­go area, is pleased to announce the addi­tion of Kel­ly Bak­er to its exec­u­tive team as Senior Vice Pres­i­dent, Finance. The SVP, Finance posi­tion is new to the orga­ni­za­tion and intro­duced as a result of DMG’s recent growth and plans for con­tin­ued expan­sion. Bak­er offi­cial­ly began her role on April 2.

Bak­er joins DMG with near­ly 15 years of focused expe­ri­ence in the finan­cial indus­try, includ­ing more than 10 years work­ing in a health­care orga­ni­za­tion. As SVP, Finance, Bak­er will report to DMG’s chief finan­cial offi­cer and will have func­tion­al respon­si­bil­i­ty in account­ing, trea­sury and tax mat­ters, as well as work close­ly with the com­pa­ny’s finan­cial plan­ning and analy­sis team. In addi­tion to her core respon­si­bil­i­ties, Bak­er will work with DMG’s stake­hold­ers, staff and its busi­ness part­ners, where she will take the lead in long-term strate­gic finan­cial plan­ning and report­ing annu­al plans, quar­ter­ly fore­casts and peri­od­ic reviews.

“As DMG con­tin­ues its future devel­op­ment, our SVP, Finance is a key lead­er­ship role,” said DMG CFO Mike Pacetti. ​“I look for­ward to work­ing close­ly with Kel­ly as she helps to proac­tive­ly dri­ve our orga­ni­za­tion­al growth and to ele­vate the finance func­tion of our business.”

Pri­or to join­ing DMG, Kel­ly was most recent­ly SVP, Finance at Phar­ma­cy Ben­e­fits Man­age­ment com­pa­ny, Optum­Rx. While in that role, she over­saw sev­er­al key acqui­si­tions and merg­ers, and was instru­men­tal in scal­ing the com­pa­ny’s rev­enue from $1 bil­lion to more than $63 bil­lion. Bak­er also pre­vi­ous­ly served at Gold­man Sachs as an equi­ties trad­er and finan­cial ana­lyst. She received a bach­e­lor’s degree from Union Col­lege before earn­ing her mas­ter’s degree from New York University.
