DuPage Medical Group Awards $25,000 in Scholarships to Children of Employees

DOWN­ERS GROVE, Ill. — DuPage Med­ical Group (DMG) — the largest inde­pen­dent, mul­ti-spe­cial­ty physi­cian group in Illi­nois — has award­ed five schol­ar­ships total­ing $25,000 to chil­dren of its employ­ees as part of the Michael Kasper Schol­ar­ship Program. 

Each recip­i­ent will be award­ed a $5,000 schol­ar­ship for the 2019 – 2020 aca­d­e­m­ic year, which may be renewed for up to three addi­tion­al years or until a bach­e­lor’s degree is earned. Addi­tion­al­ly, recip­i­ents will also have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to par­tic­i­pate in an intern­ship at DMG in their field of study.

This year’s schol­ar­ship recip­i­ents were Grace Dekok­er, Waver­ly Dool­ing, Anna Gietl, Lau­ren Glynn and Gio­van­ni Kozel. Recip­i­ents were hon­ored dur­ing a recep­tion at The Club­house restau­rant in Oak Brook.

“We’re com­mit­ted to tak­ing the best care of not only our patients, but also our employ­ees,” said Deb­o­rah Tate, DMG Senior Vice Pres­i­dent of Human Resources. ​“Our schol­ar­ship pro­gram hon­ors and sup­ports the hard work of our employ­ees and their children.”

The pro­gram is open to depen­dent chil­dren of DMG employ­ees who are con­tin­u­ing their edu­ca­tion in col­lege or voca­tion­al school. Man­aged by a third-par­ty schol­ar­ship man­age­ment ser­vice, schol­ar­ships are award­ed based on con­sid­er­a­tion of aca­d­e­m­ic achieve­ment, demon­strat­ed lead­er­ship, par­tic­i­pa­tion in school and com­mu­ni­ty activ­i­ties, work expe­ri­ence and more.

Since the pro­gram was estab­lished in 2016, DMG has award­ed more than $100,000 in new schol­ar­ships and renewals.
