DuPage Medical Group Welcomes Noted Public Health Expert as Vice President for Social Impact

DOWN­ERS GROVE, Ill. — DuPage Med­ical Group (DMG), the largest inde­pen­dent mul­ti-spe­cial­ty physi­cian group in Illi­nois, is pleased to announce the appoint­ment of not­ed researcher and pub­lic health expert Angela Beck, Ph.D. to Vice Pres­i­dent for Social Impact. In this role, Beck will lead and devel­op ini­tia­tives that pur­sue health access and equi­ty through DMG’s con­sid­er­able clin­i­cal oper­a­tions, fundrais­ing pro­grams, and com­mu­ni­ty part­ner­ships. She will also strength­en research with the orga­ni­za­tion to fur­ther DMG’s goal to deliv­er world class out­comes and inno­v­a­tive mod­els of care. 

She joins DMG from Uni­ver­si­ty of Michi­gan, Ann Arbor, fol­low­ing a more than 15-year career at their School of Pub­lic Health, includ­ing most recent­ly serv­ing as Asso­ciate Dean in the Office of Stu­dent Engage­ment and Prac­tice. Beck’s vast expe­ri­ence includes more than 40 pub­lished works on work­forces in both pub­lic and behav­ioral health, as well as mod­els of care. Hav­ing led pub­lic health prac­tice ini­tia­tives for the Uni­ver­si­ty of Michi­gan, she has sub­stan­tial expe­ri­ence in com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment and devel­op­ing part­ner­ships to sup­port inter­ven­tions that impact pop­u­la­tion health poli­cies and practices.
