Mathew S. Philip, MD
I believe physicians need to treat the entire person (mind, body and soul) with care and compassion. I’ve seen first-hand how deeply a major illness can affect the lives of a patient and their loved ones. Watching my father struggle with cancer taught me how essential it is to partner with my patients to deliver high quality care with compassion that uses a holistic, team approach. As part of your team, I will work with you to create a plan of care that takes your needs into account.
Dr. Mathew Philip approaches complex health issues with a simple, yet brilliant, solution. By bringing all the clinical expertise, support and resources you need to improve your health under one roof at our Wheaton clinic, adults 65 years of age and up have access to all the resources and support you need to lead a healthier, happier life.
November is Lung Cancer Awareness month. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. However, when diagnosed early with a low-dose CT scan, lung cancer is more likely to be curable, with survival rates jumping to nearly 60 percent. I treat a variety of complex medical conditions in the breakthrough care center. We commonly treat congestive heart failure, a variety of cancers, kidney problems, COPD/emphysema as well as many other conditions.
I’m involved in my local church, medical mission trips around the world and spending time with family.
