Lung Cancer Screening

A lung cancer screening is a quick, low-dose CT scan that helps detect lung cancer at its earliest and most treatable stages — often before symptoms appear.

At Duly Health and Care, our pulmonologists and radiologists use advanced imaging technology to take detailed pictures of your lungs. The scan is painless and noninvasive, and the entire process typically takes less than 10 minutes. If anything unusual is found, your care team will guide you through the next steps, from additional testing to personalized treatment options if needed.

Lung cancer screenings are recommended for adults with a history of smoking or other risk factors. These risk factors include:

  • 50 to 80 years old
  • Current cigarette smoker or a person who quit smoking cigarettes within the last 15 years
  • Have a smoking history of at least 20 pack-years
  • (A pack-year is calculated by multiplying the average number of packs smoked per day by the number of years. For example, 2 packs per day for 20 years = 40 pack-years)
  • Have no current signs or symptoms of lung cancer
