PAP (Positive Airway Pressure) Program

The Sleep Center of DMG’s staff educates patients through all phases of the sleep study process. For patients diagnosed with sleep apnea and prescribed a PAP therapy, our CPAP coordinator will assist in mask acclimation and equipment procurement.

For patients experiencing difficulty adjusting to PAP therapy, we offer a PAP-NAP study. This four hour visit with a registered sleep technologist provides one-on-one time to educate the patient on their sleep disorder and treatment, mask fitting, desensitization and acclimation techniques and a short sleep study. A PAP-NAP is especially helpful to patients who experience anxiety, claustrophobia, inability to tolerate mask pressures and a variety of other concerns.
