Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT)

Sur­face Guid­ed Radi­a­tion Ther­a­py (SGRT) is a tech­nol­o­gy that helps make sure you are in the best posi­tion for your treat­ment. It uses spe­cial cam­eras to cre­ate an image of your body before and dur­ing your ses­sion. This lets the care team check that you’re in the right spot the whole time. If you move too much, the sys­tem can even pause the treat­ment to make sure the radi­a­tion only goes where it’s need­ed. This helps us give your treat­ment as safe­ly and accu­rate­ly as pos­si­ble while pro­tect­ing healthy areas of your body.
