I believe primary care is all about building a good relationship with patients and having conversations regarding overall health and health goals. Medicine should be a collaborative process, and that is how I approach every patient encounter. Whether we are discussing new problems/concerns or managing long-standing health issues, I believe we are on the same team working towards the same goal, which is to improve health and wellbeing.
