That means you can start treatment sooner – no waiting, no extra appointments.
What direct access means for your care
Direct access allows you to schedule a physical or occupational therapy consultation and begin therapy for most injuries, pain, or mobility concerns without a provider’s order or prescription. Our licensed therapists are highly trained to assess your needs, develop a personalized plan, and connect you with other specialists in the Duly network if additional care is needed.
Insurance plans that allow direct access for PTOT
Most commercial plans in Illinois allow you to schedule directly with a physical or occupational therapist at Duly.
Some plans do still require a provider referral before starting therapy. These include:
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- Illinois Health Partners (IHP)
- HMO plans
- Select Medicare Advantage plans
- Select BCBSIL Labor Funds
