Update on Medicare Telemedicine Coverage
At Duly Health and Care, we remain committed to making care accessible and convenient for our patients.
Due to the current government shutdown, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has not extended telemedicine (video visit) coverage as expected. This has created some temporary uncertainty about whether certain telemedicine visits will be covered.
What you need to know:
- Behavioral health telemedicine visits will continue to be covered by Medicare.
- Duly will continue to work with our Medicare and Medicare Advantage patients regarding their appointments. If you are interested and can move to in-person appointments in this time of uncertainty, we will help find a time that works best for you. If you are unable to make in-person appointments, Duly will currently keep telemedicine appointments as scheduled. We believe virtual visits remain an important way to support your health and well-being.
- While coverage is uncertain, we are hopeful that Medicare will approve and reimburse these services retroactively once the shutdown is resolved.
As we monitor policy and coverage updates, we will continue to keep you updated. To update your appointments to in-person visits, please contact your provider's office.
Thank you for your understanding and trust. We’ll continue to share updates as more information becomes available.
