Duly Health and Care Doctors Named ‘Top Brain Doctors: 2022’ by Chicago Magazine

DOWN­ERS GROVE, IL – Three physi­cians from Duly Health and Care have been named as Top Brain Doc­tors in Chica­go magazine’s Octo­ber 2022 issue, Jere­my Schmitz, MD, Neu­rol­o­gy, Christo­pher Simon, MD, Neu­rol­o­gy, and Leonard Spishakoff, MD, Behav­ioral & Men­tal Health.

Each year, Chica­go mag­a­zine part­ners with Cas­tle Con­nol­ly Med­ical Ltd., a health­care research com­pa­ny, to sur­vey, screen and select a com­pre­hen­sive list of ​‘Top Doc­tors’ in Chicago’s six-coun­ty met­ro­pol­i­tan area. Physi­cians on the ​‘Top Doc­tors’ list are those who have been endorsed by their peers as the best in their clin­i­cal specialty.

“I feel hon­ored and hum­bled being rec­og­nized as a Top Doc­tor,” says Dr. Schmitz. ​“I look for­ward to con­tin­u­ing to rep­re­sent Duly well and hope this helps alle­vi­ate fears patients may have with see­ing a new physician.”

Dr. Schmitz prac­tices out of Wheaton, Ill. He holds a board cer­ti­fi­ca­tion in Neu­rol­o­gy and has an inter­est in plant-based cook­ing and lan­guage learn­ing, par­tic­u­lar­ly Spanish. 

“I am hum­bled by the recog­ni­tion from my col­leagues,” says Dr. Simon. ​“There are few things more sat­is­fy­ing than work­ing with a patient toward a shared goal oth­er than the lessons learned along the way to take to the next patient.”

Dr. Simon prac­tices out of Hins­dale, Ill. He holds a board cer­ti­fi­ca­tion in Neu­rol­o­gy and has been named a Chica­go Top Doc­tor for the third year in a row. He also enjoys ski­ing, sail­ing, and play­ing the piano. 

“Being rec­og­nized as a capa­ble physi­cian in my cho­sen field is an hon­or, but also car­ries great respon­si­bil­i­ty in pro­vid­ing the best care pos­si­ble,” says Dr. Spishakoff. ​“Often in the field of addic­tion med­i­cine, patients have been stig­ma­tized, plus have com­plex issues that com­pound their man­age­ment. Dr. Spishakoff prac­tices out of Romeoville, Ill. He holds board cer­ti­fi­ca­tions in both fam­i­ly and addic­tion med­i­cine. He speaks both Eng­lish and Span­ish, and enjoys hik­ing, sports, and watch­ing movies.
