Nurse nav­i­ga­tors

Your nurse nav­i­ga­tor is your main point of con­tact from diag­no­sis through sur­vivor­ship. They help you:

  • Under­stand your diag­no­sis and treat­ment plan
  • Coor­di­nate appoint­ments, imag­ing, and lab tests
  • Com­mu­ni­cate with your care team and answer questions
  • Con­nect you with resources for emo­tion­al and prac­ti­cal support

Each can­cer pro­gram at the Bri­an Moran Can­cer Insti­tute has spe­cial­ized nurse nav­i­ga­tors who know your care path­way and are here to guide you every step of the way.

Social work services

Our oncol­o­gy social work­ers help patients and fam­i­lies man­age the emo­tion­al, finan­cial, and logis­ti­cal chal­lenges of can­cer. They pro­vide coun­sel­ing, con­nect you with com­mu­ni­ty resources, and help nav­i­gate insur­ance or finan­cial assis­tance pro­grams. Whether you need help with trans­porta­tion, care­giv­er sup­port, or plan­ning for time away from work, our social work team is here for you. 

Nutri­tion and dietit­ian support

Nutri­tion plays a vital role in heal­ing and recov­ery. Our oncol­o­gy reg­is­tered dieti­tians help you main­tain strength, man­age side effects, and sup­port your immune sys­tem dur­ing and after treat­ment. They offer:

  • Per­son­al­ized meal plans for your treat­ment type
  • Strate­gies to man­age appetite changes or treat­ment-relat­ed symptoms

Behav­ioral and men­tal health support

A can­cer diag­no­sis can affect more than your phys­i­cal health. Our behav­ioral and men­tal health spe­cial­ists pro­vide coun­sel­ing and emo­tion­al sup­port for patients and fam­i­lies at any stage of care. This includes help man­ag­ing stress, anx­i­ety, or depres­sion and guid­ance for cop­ing with changes to dai­ly life and relationships.

Our team includes health psy­chol­o­gists and licensed clin­i­cal ther­a­pists who spe­cial­ize in sup­port­ing patients fac­ing can­cer or chron­ic illness.
