Pituitary Disorders

Although part of the endocrine system, the pituitary gland is located near the brain. The gland controls the release of hormones in other glands and produces hormones itself. Evaluation consists of lab tests and imaging.

Pituitary Tumor — A tumor on your pituitary gland can impact the amount of hormones produced. Most pituitary tumors are noncancerous. Many pituitary tumors go unnoticed until a CT scan is performed.
