Typically, non-cancerous tumors in the uterus that vary in size. The tumors are composed of muscles and tissues from the wall of the uterus. Some may experience little to no symptoms. Some symptoms do include bloating, bleeding in between menstrual cycles and significant pain during menstruation. Larger fibroids are more likely to cause symptoms than smaller, barely detectable fibroids.
