Neu­ropsy­cho­log­i­cal and Psy­cho­log­i­cal Assessment:

Neu­ropsy­cho­log­i­cal and psy­cho­log­i­cal assess­ments con­sist of a thor­ough eval­u­a­tion process that gath­ers infor­ma­tion about an indi­vid­u­al’s cog­ni­tive, emo­tion­al, and behav­ioral func­tion­ing. These eval­u­a­tions are a non-inva­sive method of bet­ter under­stand­ing the rela­tion­ship between the brain and an indi­vid­u­al’s behav­ior. Our assess­ments are con­duct­ed by trained pro­fes­sion­als using a vari­ety of stan­dard­ized tests, inter­views, and observations.

Dur­ing a neu­ropsy­cho­log­i­cal assess­ment, we exam­ine var­i­ous cog­ni­tive domains, such as atten­tion, mem­o­ry, lan­guage, exec­u­tive func­tion­ing, and visu­ospa­tial skills. This helps us iden­ti­fy strengths and weak­ness­es in cog­ni­tive func­tion­ing and under­stand how neu­ro­log­i­cal or psy­cho­log­i­cal con­di­tions may be impact­ing an indi­vid­u­al’s dai­ly life.

In addi­tion to cog­ni­tive assess­ment, our eval­u­a­tions include an assess­ment of emo­tion­al and behav­ioral func­tion­ing. We explore areas such as mood, social skills, and adap­tive behav­ior to gain a com­pre­hen­sive under­stand­ing of an indi­vid­u­al’s over­all well-being.

Fol­low­ing the assess­ment, we pro­vide detailed feed­back and rec­om­men­da­tions to help indi­vid­u­als and their fam­i­lies under­stand the assess­ment find­ings and devel­op appro­pri­ate treat­ment plans.

Our ser­vices encom­pass a vari­ety of clin­i­cal areas, including:

• Neu­rode­vel­op­men­tal dis­or­ders such as autism spec­trum dis­or­der, ADHD, learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties, and intel­lec­tu­al disabilities.
• Neu­ro­log­ic con­di­tions such as trau­mat­ic brain injury, stroke, epilep­sy, mul­ti­ple scle­ro­sis, move­ment dis­or­ders (e.g., Parkin­son’s dis­ease), and neu­rode­gen­er­a­tive dis­or­ders (e.g., dementia/​Alzheimer’s disease)
• Psy­chi­atric con­di­tions (Anx­i­ety, Depres­sion, Bipo­lar Dis­or­der, etc.).
